Saint Leo University has an undergraduate and graduate campus that provides numerous degrees of study from associate to master’s programs. Undergraduate students can find practically any type of degree they desire at Saint Leo University. Degrees are offered in business, sciences, theater and much more. Graduate programs include MBAs in fields like accounting, marketing, and project management. Saint Leo University also offers an MS in Cyber Security.
The Saint Leo University online campus has 79 programs. Students can earn associate degrees in areas like criminal justice or liberal arts. Bachelor’s degrees are available in fields that include business administration, educational studies, emergency management, theology and software engineering, among many others. The online campus offers all undergraduate degrees that are available at the physical campus except for bachelors of arts in middle-grade education, psychology, and social work. Likewise, the online campus offers all of the minors provided at the physical campuses except for the minor in marketing and sales in sport.
The graduate studies programs are prolific through Saint Leo University’s online campus. Students can earn master’s degrees in creative writing, healthcare management, social media marketing, instructional design, and social work. Those who wish to earn doctoral degrees can choose from a Doctor of Business Administration, Doctor of Criminal Justice or Doctor of Education.
The education centers, which are located throughout the United States, offer many of the same classes that are available online. Students may not earn doctoral degrees at educational centers, but they can take classes in person while also pursuing degrees online.

Saint Leo University was established in 1889 in St. Leo, Florida. The school was the first college affiliated with the Roman Catholic church in the state of Florida. It is also one of the oldest and largest Catholic universities in the United States.

Saint Leo University Accreditation Details
Saint Leo University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. This accreditation allows Saint Leo University to award degrees at all levels, including certificates and doctoral degrees. Other academic accreditations are held by specific departments and areas of study. Accreditation applies to the traditional campus, satellite campuses and all online programs.
Saint Leo University Application Requirements
The application process at Saint Leo University depends upon which school the student plans to attend. Incoming freshmen who wish to attend and live on the home campus can complete the application form online or use the common application. Students must provide high school transcripts. They may provide college entrance test scores and letters of recommendation, though these are not required. In order to be considered for admission, students must have completed four years of high school English, three years of high school math, two years each of science and foreign language and three years of history and social sciences. Students who have taken advanced placement courses and students who have been homeschooled should contact Saint Leo University for more details about what they need to apply.
Any student who wishes to attend the online campus can complete the online application at any time. Because the university has rolling admission, students do not have to worry about deadlines. Applicants must provide proof of high school graduation, official transcripts from any previously attended schools, proof of professional development and college entrance test scores. The application fee is $45.
Graduate students should contact the department to which they wish to apply as each area of study has a different set of requirements. For example, the creative writing program requires a sample of creative work, while the psychology program requires a statement of goals and a satisfactory score on the GRE.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Full-time, undergraduate students who live on campus can expect to spend about $18,500 per semester or $37,000 per year for tuition, fees and living expenses. Online students are charged per credit hour. Undergraduate fees are $370 per hour. Certificate programs are $250 per credit hour. Students must also purchase books and pay a variety of fees when they attend the online campus.
Tuition for graduate classes is based on the course of study. Costs vary from $445 per credit hour for studies through the Educator Preparation Institute to $770 per hour for the Masters of Science in Cyber Security. As with undergraduate degrees, graduate students must purchase books and pay any course-related fees. Saint Leo University estimates the cost of graduate study to be about $21,000 per year. This figure includes the cost of room and board.
Students may use federal and/or state grants to contribute to the cost of tuition. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, to determine eligibility for these grants. The FAFSA is also used for most need-based scholarships, work-study, and many student loan programs.
The university offers a variety of scholarships for incoming students. Most scholarships are only available to incoming freshmen who study at the university’s physical campus in St. Leo, Florida.
